After obligatory military service as a parachutist, Arne Steindorf studied law at the Friedrich-Wilhelm University in Bonn and at the College for Management Studies in Speyer.
Already in 1991 he turned his attention to the orientation of states in former East Germany. Since then he has been intensely concerned with the business and legal questions specific to the German midlands.
Since 1992 he has been a lawyer in Halle and since 1994 the head of the chancellery there. Since 1996 he has been a partner.
In the course of his work as a lawyer his attention was drawn especially to labour law, in which he became a qualified specialist. Later he became actively involved in competition law and private building law, including the law applying to architects and building contracting. Since 1997 he has also worked at the OLG in Naumburg.
In the above-named fields, lawyer Steindorf advises and represents enterprises, non-profit making organisations and public-rights institutions and self-managing bodies.
Lawyer Steindorf is - in some cases on the board of directors - a member in several businesses and corporations, the ex-president of the Halle rotary club (Saale), the assistant district governor of the district 1800 and a member of the industry club of the German midlands in Halle. Since 1996 he has been a member of the state's justice examination office, where his main responsibility has been the second state examination. Since 1999 he has issued publications on insolvency labour law and the rights of new media. Together with Regh he has written the Beck clients' handbook 'Labour Right in the Case of Insolvency'.
