After completing military service as paratrooper, studied law at Rheinische Friedrich Wilhelms University in Bonn and at the University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer.

Focused on the new federal states since 1991. Since then also intensive preoccupation with economic and legal matters specific to the Central German region.

Lawyer in Halle since 1992 and head of the office there since 1994; partner of the firm since 1996.

In the course of his professional work, increasing specialization in labour law (specialist lawyer), insolvency law (completed specialist lawyer course) and information technology law (specialist lawyer course completed in 2012). Other activities in competition law and private building law, including architects’ law and awarding law.
In the above areas, lawyer Steindorf acts as counsel to companies, non-profit-making organisations as well as public-law institutions and selfregulatory bodies.

Lawyer Steindorf is member – in some cases with executive function – of several business-related and professional organisations, past President of the Halle (Saale) Rota-ry Club and Former Assistant District Governor of the Rotary District 1800 as well as member of the Industrie-Club Mitteldeutschland zu Halle. Since 1996 member of the State Law Examination Board and practicing examiner preferably at the Second State Examination level. Since 1999 publications on insolvency law and the law of the new media. Author of Beck´sches Mandatshandbuch Steindorf/Regh "Arbeitsrecht in der Insolvenz", 1st edition 2002.

Since 2009 visiting lecturer at Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg.
