Gudrun Becker was born in 1963 in Oschatz (Sachsen) and is married and the mother of two children.

She studied in the faculty for applied languages at the universities of Leipzig and Havana for a diploma as a linguistic mediator in Spanish and Russian. After successfully completing her studies in 1986, she moved to the Halle branch office of the state foreign language service ‘Intertext’. There she was mainly responsible for regional foreign trade and law courts. She then spent a year in Cuba supporting the German department of the Cuban translating service.

In 1991 Gudrun Becker risked choosing a new métier. Together with two lawyers from the Bonn chancellery Hümmerich & Partner she built up in Halle a swiftly growing branch. From 1992 to 1995, she trained on the side as a lawyer’s employee and as an employee responsible for tax. From September 1998 to February 2000, she continued her training to become a state-accredited supervisor and head of business in a lawyer’s office.

One of her main duties at the chancellery is to ensure that enforced payments are made to clients. Here she is developing strategies for implementing enforced payment, especially for movables and immovables.

Gudrun Becker is also responsible for the office organisation and management. She sees to the training of trainees and to the training and further training of colleagues.

The department of finance and salaries is likewise under her aegis.
